- Amy Fisher: In 1999, attorney Bruce A. Barket succeeded in persuading the court to vacate the 1992 second-degree assault conviction of Amy Fisher in a case that attracted national media attention. As a result, Ms. Fisher was immediately released from prison.
- Martin Tankleff: In 2008, Mr. Barket was among the team of lawyers that succeeded in convincing the New York state attorney general to drop all charges against Martin "Marty" Tankleff, who had spent 17 years in prison after being convicted of murdering his parents.
